Alyssa Nguyen

Alyssa Nguyen is the Senior Director of Research and Innovation for The RP Group and brings over 15 years of experience within the California Community Colleges system. Her work is dedicated to uncovering and implementing student-centered practices that close equity gaps and promote student success. She has contributed to multiple system-wide initiatives, including projects that have advanced equitable student placement practices and identified the critical factors that support student transfer to a four-year university.

Prior to her current role, Alyssa was a Senior Research Analyst at San Joaquin Delta College, where she supported a variety of programs and services aimed at improving equitable student outcomes.

Alyssa is a California Community College graduate, earning an AA in liberal studies at College of the Redwoods. She then went on to earn a BA and MA in psychology with an emphasis in quantitative, social, and biological psychology at Humboldt State University. Alyssa is currently a PhD student at the University of California, Davis, in the School of Education, School Organization and Education Policy program.
