Michelle White
Associate Director of Research & Learning
Michelle White has extensive experience conducting institutional research, planning, and evaluation in higher education, leading statewide and college-level research initiatives that connect data, practice, and professional learning. In her role as Associate Director of Research and Learning, she supports the nexus between research and practice by translating insights from large-scale studies into actionable strategies and professional development opportunities for the California Community Colleges community.
Michelle specializes in survey design and administration, focus group facilitation, interviews, outcomes analyses, and literature reviews. She co-leads the statewide Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Program, providing leadership and direction to help colleges build institutional capacity in areas such as strategic planning, scheduling, retention and persistence, and student success. In addition to her RP Group role, Michelle teaches Business Statistics at MiraCosta College, where she integrates practical analytics and evidence-based teaching to help students connect data insights to real-world decision-making.
Before joining The RP Group, Michelle worked as a Research and Planning Analyst for Palomar and San Diego Community College Districts, where she applied advanced querying, data extraction, and modeling techniques to inform college planning and strengthen student success. She holds a BS in cognitive neuroscience and a BS in psychology from UC San Diego, and an MBA from Loma Linda University.
